RV Cooking: Venison Kabobs

What's for Dinner?

This week, I was on a mission to make some venison kabobs! I think this is a great meal to make that is healthy, colorful and great to make while RVing.

I thought I'd share the recipe with you all! This was not only easy to make, but actually fun. Not to mention, this would be a great meal for your children to help you with.

Thanks to Wide Open Spaces for the marinade recipe. I didn't want to do just plain venison, I wanted a little more flavor to them. Although, you can use Zesty Italian dressing or any other marinade you love using. You can also swap it out and use chicken if you'd like.

Grocery List:

Venison, cut and into chunks
1 Cup of Soy Sauce
1 Cup of Water
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1 TSP Ground Ginger
1 TSP Onion Powder
1 TSP Garlic Powder
1 Red Onion
1 Pineapple
1 Green or Red Pepper

Now, swap out any of the ingredients and add what you prefer. I added more peppers for color and I didn't use some of the spices they listed. It still tasted fabulous!

What to do:
1. Put the water in a pan, and mix in soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, onion powder, and garlic powder. Heat over medium heat to dissolve the sugar.
2. Pour mixture over venison chunks and let marinate overnight in refrigerator.
3. Place the venison, onion, pineapple, and peppers on skewers, alternating each layer. Cover and place in cooler to bring to tailgate party.
4. Place kabobs on the grill, cooking to own preference.

I ended up making the marinade the morning of and then let the venison marinate in the fridge the whole day. Throw these on the charcoal grill or your grill on your RV! This is a tasty and easy meal to make for a night while RVing this Summer.
Here's my result! Look how tasty they look. YUM!

Eat up!
